Kaitlyn Davis

Kaitlyn Davis graduated from Ball State University with a bachelor’s degree in women and gender studies and a master’s degree in adult and community education with the intent of serving underprivileged women in our community. Kaitlyn is currently the Development Account Executive for Meridian Health Services where she raises funds for the enhancement of current Meridian programs such as the Child Advocacy Center. She has previously worked for a domestic violence agency, a group home for pregnant and parenting teenagers, and an emergency shelter for women. She sits on the advisory board for Ross Medical Education and Soapbox, Inc. Kaitlyn is an active member of Community Business Connections, Altrusa, and Women in Business Unlimited. She is a graduate of Emergence from Shafer Leadership Academy. Kaitlyn is a Disney World fiend, and enjoys white chocolate pecan pie lattes from The Caffeinery.

 

Nancy Fitzjarrald

Nancy Fitzjarrald has been a resident of Delaware County since December 2011. She is a self-employed hairstylist at Allure Image by Design, Ft. Wayne, and graduated from Madison Grant High School and Apex Academy, Anderson, IN. Nancy was born in Anderson and lived in Ft. Wayne prior to 2011. Her husband, Mike, has been employed at Frontier Communications since 1988. She has a daughter, Katey Souers, and a son, Brent Spahr and three grandchildren, Jaxson and Oliver Souers and Grayson Spahr, who are the light of her life.Activities prior to moving to Muncie include volunteering for the American Cancer Society- Look Good, Feel Better, Brownie and Girl Scout leader, Activities Director at The Oaks Community Association, Church Board at Highland Bethel EMC and Director Fellowship Committee at Highland Bethel EMC. Her interests are arts & crafts of any kind, painting, gardening, birds, cooking and landscape & design.

 

Donna Foster

Donna has only lived in Delaware County for 9 months and is looking for opportunities to meet new friends. She is recently married to her husband, Alvis, who she met in high school in Owensboro, KY, where she grew up. Alvis is a Medical Physicist and the Radiation Safety Officer for IU Health at Ball Memorial Hospital. They enjoy raising 2 children who are in elementary and middle school at Yorktown. Donna comes to Muncie from Hendricks County in Danville, IN, where she lived for 16 years and raised her two sons. She graduated from Kentucky Wesleyan College with a degree in Elementary Education and Library Science. Donna has enjoyed being a preschool teacher and has been active in church life for many years. She currently enjoys Zumba and playing tennis regularly, and is having fun learning to grow flowers.

 

Susan Haynes

Susan was born and raised in Muncie and has lived in Delaware County for 57 years. She currently lives in the Yorktown area. Susan has been married to Roger Haynes for 21 years. He is the Postmaster of Pendleton, Indiana. Susan and her husband have two daughters, one son-in-law, and two grandsons. She also has two rescue dogs from ARF, Annie and Sam. Susan has been employed at Premier Label Company in Muncie for 32 years. She is currently Vice President and a partner in the company. Susan graduated from Cowan High School and attended Ball State University. She has been very active in Girl Scouts for the past 25 years and has held various positions over the years. Susan loves to scrapbook with friends, travel as often as possible, spend time in the sun at the pool or beach, shop and dine, make new friends and spend time spoiling her grandsons. 

 

Mandy Lowe

Mandy has been a resident of Delaware County her entire life. She graduated from Muncie Southside High School in 1996. Mandy attended Ball State University and graduated in 2001 with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Criminal Justice and Criminology and minoring in Sociology. She is currently enrolled at Ball State, working on a Master of Arts with a double major in Adult and Community Education and Executive Development for Public Service. Mandy is currently employed at Ball State and is the Graduation Coordinator for the Graduate School. Her husband, Matthew Lowe, is employed at A Rental Service Company in Muncie. Matt is also currently enrolled at Ball State, working toward his Bachelor’s degree. Mandy has two sons, Trevor, age 14 and Tucker, age 11. Trevor is a freshman at Muncie Central H.S. and Tucker is a 5th grade student in the Extended Learning Program at East Washington Academy. Mandy’s entire family is very active in the Muncie Civic Theater. Mandy also volunteers for the Muncie Central Band Boosters, at St. Lawrence Church, and has served two years as Treasurer for the St. Lawrence PTO. Mandy’s interests and hobbies are centered around her children’s events and activities as well as their schooling. Her family recently moved to the downtown area and now live on East Charles Street. Mandy is hoping to become more involved in the neighborhood association.

 

Sandra McCallister

Sandy has lived in Delaware County for the past 41 years and is retired from Ball Hospital as a Registered Nurse, most recently From Recovery and ICU. She is married to VIctor who is retired from General Motors. Sandy has 2 grown sons who live in Houston and Denver, and 2 granddaughters. She graduated from Ball State University with a degree in Nursing and a Master’s degree in Education. She is currently President of the David Owsley Museum of Art Alliance. Sandy and VIctor can be found at most all of the home BSU basketball games. She enjoys playing tennis regularly, as well as quilting and reading. Sandy has loved shopping at the Bargain Box, especially at Christmas time, searching for “red haired angels” to add to her daughter-in-law’s collection. She says she has found many at the Box over the years.

 

Heather Melton

Heather was raised in Blackford County, Indiana and received her high school diploma from Blackford High School in 1991. After high school, Heather attended International Business College in Fort Wayne, Indiana, where she completed an associate degree. Additionally, she has completed the Professional Enhancement Certificate Program at Ball State University. Heather moved to Delaware County, Indiana in 1993 and married her husband, David in 1995. David and Heather have two sons together, Logan,19, and Charles, 16. David also has a son, Zachary, who is 25 years old. Heather is employed by Ball State University where she is currently an administrative coordinator within the School of Kinesiology. Heather also serves as a representative on the BSU Staff Council and Chair of the Public Relations Committee. Heather’s husband manages their rental properties and is also a self-employed contractor. Together they are very active in the Delta High School Swimming and Diving Boosters and Delaware County 4-H. Some of Heather’s other interests and hobbies include reading, sewing, baking, crafting, and assisting her husband with woodworking projects of all kinds.

 

Lisa Thomas-Murphy

Lisa was born in Marion, Indiana. She has been a resident of Delaware County for 32 years. Lisa attended Ball State University and had four children with her first husband: Nicholas, 27, Christian, 22, Alex, 17, and Elizabeth (Lizzy),12. In 2010, Lisa married Steve Murphy, who is an attorney at DeFur Voran. Together they have 6 children, 5 boys and 1 girl. Lisa owns and maintains Ball State University rental properties, has built and sold several homes, is a licensed real estate appraiser, and worked for American United Appraisal Co. for 23 years. Lisa has been on the Youth for Christ Board of Directors, on the board of directors for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Delaware County (and an active Big Sister), and has volunteered countless hours at her children’s schools and at the Albany United Methodist Food Pantry. Two years ago Lisa chose a different career path and is now is a substitute teacher for Delaware Community Schools. She is busy attending dance competitions, while finding time to do crafts projects and other DIY home improvements. Lisa and her family enjoy vacationing, hiking, riding bikes, cooking together and spending time at home with a house is full of kids. They attend Harvest Christian Fellowship.
